The Quest for Love
When we were kids, we were read stories of princes who rode away to lands far, far away to look for their princesses. They battled dragons and monsters. They fought ogres and witches. They did all this and more in their quest for their one true love. Despite the sufferings and hardships they encountered along the way, they were able to save their damsels in distress and find their heart’s one true desire. Sadly, these things only happen in fairytales but do we let real life and cynicism get in the way of our quest for our heart’s missing piece.
Too often we listen to the news or the chatter at work and it’s about blood, sweat and tears. We’re bombarded with the negative things that are happening around us. We are blinded and jaded by thoughts that have marred our optimism. It doesn’t have to be that way. We can choose how we react to the world around us.
We all long for someone to love and care for us and too often we’re too focused on the bad things around us to pay attention to the good things that happen every day to us and make us more worthy of loving.
The magic and power of love often comes in the most unexpected places and times. Believe in love. Keep your heart and mind open for it. Look for the good in people rather than always seeing their faults. Your life will be better for it in every aspect. And… start living the fairytale — maybe that prince or princess will show up before you know it.

I so agree
love can come in the most unexpected places and times; so all we need to do is wait and open our heart and never stress ourselves looking for somebody to love. It will come if it is meant for us.
Love is evil…not always certainly
“we let real life and cynicism get in the way of our quest for our heart’s missing piece.”
I agree fully. how many times have i had people say to me “it’s not the right time for me to get involved with anyone”.. how could they know when the right time is? what happened to the appreciation of the unexpected elements of romance? we’re all so keyed in to our damn schedules and goals and deadlines that i think we run the risk of missing out falling in love “for real” (my definition of love, of course……)
Love is blind they say and true it is as it knows no bound and limit. You never know when and where and with ‘whom’ you fall in love. And ‘whom’ maybe anything in this earth.
I certainly believe in the power of real love. It took me a while to get my act together but when I finally did meet the right person (it took me being more mature before that finally happened – at 32) and we’ve been together 10 years now.
Check out my marriage proposal to her – I guarantee you’ll love the story (she did say yes, so…) it even includes a Rainbow.

Some are born with it, and some pick it during…
I love this post! It’s amazing how happy endings happen in reality, I thought that it only happens in fairy tales… True love is inevitable, and it happens so unexpectedly
Yes i agree to this that the magic and power of love often comes in the most unexpected places and times.I really believe in true love because mine is also love marriage .The real love can be find in the real life also not only in the fairytale.
thank you.
Wola beautiful post, love does not come when you want it to come, love comes unexpectedly.
I truly believe what you are saying. That is why “Love moves in a mysterious way” is one of my favorite songs.
One thing though, when you get hurt sometimes you get traumatized with the situation. I think that is where the negative feeling comes. The fear that the mistakes of the past will be repeated especially when you hurt too much.
That’s what reality is.Nice post.^_^
i think love will find you, not you will find love..
im not saying that you should not do anything, all im saying is,, dont go too far just to find love. while waiting, you can show love to others like to your family and friends.. i mean, love is not always for getting busy later at night but to have somone to share your experiences and your opinions.
Excellent advice. Most of the time we find love when we are not even looking for it. It just seems to find us.
