Investing time

I got this from a guy this morning. I won’t use his name because he says he’s contacted a lot of women and some will think he’s talking about them and nobody wants hurt feelings. All that he’s said below can also be said about men’s ads that only say, “wanna fuck.” Here’s what he said:

Why does someone join and create an ad that says nothing at all? I search, I see she has an ad and then the ad pops up and it says a few words like, “wanna have fun?”

I took the time to let women know who I am and what I’m looking for. My personal ad isn’t perfect but when a woman reads it she knows I’m looking for a long term friendship leading to something more. She knows I am comfortable taking my time getting to know her. She knows I like golf and sailing and she knows I have weekends free.

If you want someone new in your life, isn’t he or she worth at least 5 minutes to tell us more about you? Would you choose an ad that said nothing about the person? I wouldn’t.

Not everyone is a good speller, so use the spell checker because you have one chance to make a good impression.

I’ve had great success at SexyAds and I’ve made a lot of friends. That was my goal - making friends. If something more came of it that’s wonderful but I’ve made some friends that will remain forever. Online dating is not difficult but success doesn’t happen without some effort.

I worry about the ones who get frustrated because they aren’t having the success they know is theirs. To them I say, do what I did, post in the forum about anything. You’ll get noticed. I posted and people started reading my blog. That’s how I found most of my friends.
