Dragon Slippers
I was stumbling the net today and found the most moving cartoon story about an abusive relationship. If you’ve never been in one or watched someone else live in one, you’ll get a profound insight on how it happens. I know when it happened to me so many years ago it happened so slowly that I never noticed bits of me falling away.
If you’ve ever been in an abusive relationship you’ll see yourself on every page. I did. It hurt, but it made me incredibly grateful that I came out the other end a much stronger person who would never let another human being steal my sparkle again. If you see yourself and you’re still IN the relationship, find the courage to take care of yourself. You are not the one with the problem.

Sorry to admit that I’m a man like that before…
I used to think that if woman don’t depend or rely on man, it will make a man useless. I can’t accept my first girl friend to be better and go higher than me until we finally broke up.
But now when I look back, I really want to be her dream supporter. It’s so tiring and so bad to abuse someone I love.
Thanks for sharing this cartoon! It reminds me the beauty of woman’s dream and the beauty of a man when he supports a man without condition.=)
Pretty scary!
I admired the opinions of article.
Let’s know who I am and what to do for happy life always.

Wow! That is scary! It also shows that hurting people hurt people! One cause of an abusive relationship, is the abuser trying to protecting his or herself for being rejected or hurt. So they seek to control those closer to protect themselves from ever getting hurt again. It is very selfish, but motivated by pain. Unfortunately, the one thats being abused, is the effect not the cause of where it started.
I agree with you FeelingFlirty, those being abused must find the courage and take care of themselves and leave. Instead of staying it the situation which could end up deadly.
