Argh.. I’m too naughty

The kind folks at Yahoo!’s Mybloglog.com thinks my blog is pornography and has removed me from their membership. I wish I could find the photographs that violate their guidelines because I have never, nor would I ever post any photograph that is x-rated or explicit. That’s just not who I am. Obviously I’ve pissed someone off enough for them to complain. I did write to the customer care person who wrote to me and asked me to read their guidelines. I wrote that as far as I could tell I hadn’t violated any guideline as all they say in them relates to photographs and if they could point to any images that were even naughty, I’d remove them.

How did they respond? They kicked me off. No explanation. Why? Because they’re big and they don’t have to answer to anyone.

I’ll accept that and move on to other things.

Best of luck to all you bloggers in 2008 and stay on the good side of the law.

Too naughty?! Where do those guys live, Disney World?! I had a friend banned from MyBlogLog too for giving advice on sexual relationships and I think what they did is stupid…. Time to move on to better things like BlogCatolog and blogosphere.

P.S. You could be a little more naughtier… a little bit of naughty never hurted anyone.. LOL

Wow, I had no idea they did stuff like that. There’s nothing wrong with giving flirty advice.

From the sound of it, this mybloglog thing isn’t
going to slow you down, so keep up the good work………….:)

Well that sucks Big Time! As I’ve told you before, I particularly love your site. I think that it’s a rather sophisticated and playful site personally. I’m very disappointed in them for this decision. I’ve seen so much smut on some of these sites that are members of MyBlogLog. Whoever made that decision is still angry with you from third grade.

***From FeelingFlirty — Thanks a lot for this comment. It’s made my day. I suspect that the person who banned me is young enough to be my grandchild! Someone complained about my site’s content and there is no black and white. I have NO x-rated photos anywhere on my site. It’s just not who I am. I talk about flirty, sexy things and if that’s too much for Yahoo! then it’s their problem not mine. It’s amazing that the majority of Americans (and I am one) can justify blood and gore and killing for their kids on tv and the net but give them a bit of sex and we’re corrupting them. There’s something definitely wrong with this moral standard in my view.

oh dear, we share the same fate. My blog was removed as well.I have no idea why. Someone complained that i have violated the clause ‘adult’.

Hi, I don’t know if the yahoo thing prevents your publishing like the tech stick that Corrine edwards had, but she describes how she got it fixed here:

I wrote that with the desire that you will post something new.

That’s shame. mybloglog.com does have a reputation of being overly dramatic in terms of its conservativeness and even the word sex makes them nervous.
