About Me
Hello, I’m glad you clicked to learn more about me. Frankly I’m not that interesting as a person. Can you believe I took the test to prove I wasn’t a nerdy geek and I scored a 77%! There are geeks all around me – my husband scored a 95%, but me? I should have been a 22% for sure, but Noooooo. I promise I don’t have biohazard signs in my room, nor should I have any, but I did know a lot of the answers and for that I am a geek! sigh.. I thought it was bad when I became a grandmother, but being a nerdy geek is much worse.
When I’m not sleeping or blogging, I run a large adult dating site. I met my husband through a personal ad on the net back in 1994. I lived in Florida and my husband lived in Australia. Imagine how it was in 1994 when next to nobody was meeting through the Internet. Orlando didn’t have access to the WWW until late in 1994! We met through a local bulletin board newgroup feed. (That DOES date me, doesn’t it?) We created the site for people like us, folks who’d been around before and were determined that love, passion and intimacy wouldn’t be missing from our lives again.
We cater to an older crowd because, well, we’re older and mature daters feel comfortable with us. If you’re looking for an Internet home for dating, friends or online fun, come say hello.

Hi…provocative entry. Thanks for sharing.
Bye
This is something different. I didn’t know there was a facility to leave a comment at “About me”, so I better leave one seeing you have gone to so much trouble.
I do not care if you are a geek or not. I like your site and it made good reading. I might even learn something, hopefully.
All grandmothers are saints as far as I am concerned, geeky ones or not so geeky ones.

PS. I asked my wife on how to spell “mear”. I think it could be “mere” because spell check didn’t pick that one up. Hope you get my meaning anyway.
nice thought!
Interesting blog and thanks for sharing more about yourself. A grandmother!?…has your grand kids stumbled upon you blog? lol
**from FeelingFlirty – Nah, I have one grandkid in university and he knows what I do for a living. The others are too little to care that I’m anything but a loving Granny that they know through daily Skype chats.
Us oldies must stick together… but have you visited me for a testimonial to successful dating?
As I married the girl I worked with thirty-five years ago, dating never really came into it.
Keep up the good work.

I didn’t think I was a geek either but I scored an 82%. Not bad. (I still don’t think I’m a geek though…)
maureen,what’s wrong to be grandma?

I have too many favorites. I can’ t pick one all time favorite. As a child I kept rechecking out the different colors of fairy books- “ The Red Fairy†book etc. As an adult my favorites are even harder to pick. “ Good Omens†by Neil Gaiman an…
I love this blog. You have a great way of returning to traditional relationship styles but making them modern. Too many young ladies these days have forgotten what it means to be a woman!
Hello Maureen,
Thanks for sharing your bio with us.
One thing to keep in mind is;
Grandmother or granddaughter…
Stay active in life, especially the mind.
Your as young as you feel!
Hi,
I have added your site to my blogroll because it is really informative and sincere. Who wouldn’t love the story about Melinda and Deg? That is real life.

Hi, I just noticed that you missed a period in your dating site link here. Just thought I would point this out so it goes through for those who click.
My brother just turned 49. I’ll send him over to your website. He’s an entrepreneur and because of it, has a hard time meeting women.
Btw, your site layout is so clean looking and accessible.
Flirty, it’s a wonderful word, thought your viewers may enjoy visiting the best site for women who like to flirt http://www.flirtydivatees.com We invite all of your viewers to stop by for a look at FlirtyDivaTees.com and have more fun! Our t-shirts are so effective…they’re dangerous!
Very cool to run across an old style “mom-and-pop” dating website and blog anymore, the business has gone all corporate now. I too made my first hookups using netcomm chat back in the early 90′s (before the web even supported pictures (at least on my slow dial-up connection!). Almost got a local sex club started with a couple, but our first meeting was a flop and nothing more came of it.
As a hobby I started this new blog to review some of the books I read by all these pick up artists out there, many of which I have used with some success, while others haven’t helped me at all. It’s at: http://pick-up-girls-guides.com
Take a look, leave a comment.

I suggest adding a “google+” button for the blog!
