Adult Webmaster Conference

Recently we attended an adult webmaster conference in Phoenix and I thought I’d share my experience with you. Held at the Tempe Mission Palms, in Tempe, AZ, the entire hotel was booked for our group. That way, no kids could possibly be exposed to anything remotely adult. The hotel has an enclosed courtyard and nothing showing to the street. It is a perfect place for a conference like this.

We gave away framed dollar bills and beer holders. The beer holders were very popular but mostly people wanted their photos taken with our models.

Ok, you want to see what we looked like at the show? It hurts but here it is. The guy on my left is Patrick, one of the bigwigs at CCBill, the company that handles all our financial transactions. He looks honest, doesn’t he? He’s a terrific guy.

There were seminars to learn about how to get the best content, how to market your website, legal issues of running a site with adult content, gay sites, dating sites, etc. etc. If you have a niche, someone was there to talk about it.

Then there were the parties. Lots and lots and lots of parties. Parties during the day, parties at night. We held a cocktail party during reception and that was fun. Everyone’s favorite was naked dodgeball. No, I didn’t play. It’s definitely for the younger crowd, but I was there as a keen observer!

The best bit about conferences like this is the networking you get to do. We made deals with people for European billing, cam content for our VIP area, met with other dating site owners to get a feel for the future of our industry niche and met with the sponsors of the show who also handle all our financial transactions. We’ll go again next year!
